Before you get your back, sack, and crack done at Maloney's Barber Shop on Victoria Street, stop in at the pharmacy and get yourself some of this

Honestly, if you are only after a barber shop quality haircut then seriously learn to do it yourself! It's not as hard as you think.
A decent set of clippers is about $60 and pays itself off after 3-4 months. You will save hundreds if not thousands over the years.
But the real savings is in the convenience of it all as you can do it at home when it suits you instead of putting it off for whenever you can fit it into your schedule.
Try it out first with just removing a little until you get more confident - will probably need a mirror/mate/missus to do the back until you suss it out yourself.

Self-cut is good advice, and its fun cutting your own hair. You do need the right tool for the job though. I got one of these and it's damn good!

edit: yes I had battery problems as well. Just use it plugged in.

It's really not that hard to give yourself a tidy haircut with a clipper. The first few times are a bit challenging, but if you have a big wall mounted mirror and a small hand held mirror then it's really easy after a bit of practice. The hardest part is doing the back of the head, especially around the ears.

Go to Briscoes when they have a sale and buy a Wahl clipper. Don't forget to oil the blades every second use.
