    I dunno but I really don't think cooling was the main reason a boxer layout was chosen...

    And yes - I'm still wondering what its like to ride as well....

    I also suspect it isn't the emissions in Euro 4 that is causing them to look at water cooling, more likely to be the noise requirements and they want to be able to enclose the engine to reduce noise, umm, emissions.

    Maybe the BMW stealerships did not want him riding the bike since he cant write an article himself

    Only the first 911's had a boxer engine? Really now? They didn't even water-cool them until the 996 series so he can't use that argument.

    Bang on, even the 993 Turbo was air cooled...
    The Porsche 912 was cool though I have weird taste

    What a pile of crap. Wikipedia has better reading about these bikes than this retired bit a drift wood.

    I still crack up everytime I read the specs bit of "sequential gearbox"....
    I'm waiting for a ZX-10R to come out with an H-pattern shift......
