Reminded me of when I was working on the roof of a sugar refinery in Adelaide. Upon hearing a loud bang I looked up to see a big sugar hopper rattling and banging as it bounced past an intersection which was partially occupied by a three quarter length HQ station wagon. It was parked with a fully exposed fire wall just behind the white stop line. Directly behind a slightly mounded and barely recognisable puddle like collage of front end bits sitting on the wrong side of the line. Thanks for invoking that memory.
Political correctness: a doctrine which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd from the clean end.

I would have gone for the great mighty MACK. There is something fascinating about staring at dogs arse all day long....
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

Realistically, for intended purpose, a big old Bedford would come with crap brakes as standard. That's why the brake pedal is big enough to get two feet on it.
