Suzuki flywheel puller?

Hi, I'm trying to resurrect my lil b120 which isn't functioning.
I can't get the frekin flywheel off to check the wiring and replace the cap. The gear puller worked 2-3 years ago, if a bit of a tense time waiting for a gear hook in the eye. ..
This time it's actually bending the gear puller shaft ..
I see a lot of cheap flywheel pullers out there which I'm totes ready to add to my collection of used once special tools, but they all seem to have threads on the tool which threads into a thread on the flywheel.... which I ain't got.

So.. anyone been down this road? is there a special magic easy tool? Am I wrong in how the flywheel puller tool works?
any help as usual very much appreciated.

tap tap taperoo! (get a hammer)
alternate between smacking the shit out of the hex head on the puller and whatever you can hit on the FW. a 3-jaw puller MAY serve you better (may not)

still fail: soak it in crc 66, walk away for an hour. come back and soak it again, go away for an hour and repeat smack-the-chit-out-of-it.

still fail: get a gas torch and pour heat into everything, then smack the shit out of it.

true.. being conscious of that i'm only using a rubber mallet, I just have to fight that urge when a lite hit doesn't work.. maybe a slightly harder hit ..

I'm wondering if leaving the puller on full tension for a while mixed with wd40 drenching will eek it out ... or just slowly distort the FW?

sometimes a metal hammer is good idea as causes higher frequency vibrations through the metal and oft' times seems to dislodge things better than deadblow.

Don't hit the crank or the flywheel with a metal hammer, hitting the crank may squish the thread on the end and as said with flywheel magnets. A nylon or plastic hammer would be better but TBH won't do fuck all. I'd go for heat myself (or cooling...put the whole fucker in the freezer )

Well tried the gf's hairdrier, got the fW nicly hot, then thought about the physics and applied ice to the central shaft. more gentle taps with the mallet but fek nuthin.
How hot is hot enough ? Also keeping the centre cool is quite a mission and probably imposssible. Oh well , next step..

$50 bucks will get me a balance puller like this from supacheep

Anyone reckon this could maybe work were the 2 jaw fails? maybe more even spread of pressure?

mm. i've fucked threads on CVs with hammers. and fixed them with files.

you may be at the point in time where an hydraulic press will better suit your purpose. go buy one. i'll borrow it after you.

i have a 4T 3 jaw puller somewhere. using the word "harmonic" makes me think of crankshaftiers....

Go to a bike shop and buy a flywheel remover, they pretty universal some to many makes cost about 30 dollers
or take the engine to bike shop, theu will use said puller and rattlegun , job done in 1 minute. I rebuild plenty of cranks and the approach suggested by azkill will just fuck it

Fukin A . Thanks for the replies..after asking around the shops, then baking cakes and brewing beer i managed to borrow a REAL FW Puller.. (see photo attached)

Had it off in under a minute! Hallajuah! It's a tool crafted by the Almighty! Dance and drink in celebration!

So let it be known to all those in the same situation...... a three screw steel cast FW puller with two bitchin steel handles kicks arse over a pissy 2-jaw gear puller...

All the shops of course said they would get it off if I could get the engine there .. all credit to the shops ...but that would have been a logistical nightmare


Now have a new problem , in all my violence earlier I've shifted the timing plate... Fek. Might be time for a new thread
