Picking up my new bike on the 13th of October. Ill do the Pink Ribbon run on the 14th in St Johns.
I am expecting to get my bike back on the road in about a fortnight, and am interested in the Sunday rides north from the Caltex station. I have never joined any of these rides before, so would be pleased to hear a few encouraging comments at this time. I may have a mate interested in joining some rides too.
Anyone keen on a scratch tomorrow (Saturday)? New bike...must learn!
We are considering Waipu Pizza Barn or similar
I'm keen on re-joining the rides. They were great fun earlier in the year, and then winter arrived.
Will try and make it this Sunday if weather's good.
If you don't enjoy it I will give you your money back
Very user friendly bunch of people, go your own pace, you will not get lost as there is normally a Tail end Charley (Or Charlotte) making sure everyone finds the way.
Mostly sporty bikes cruisers, motards etc also attend - legend even tells of a modified GN250 which was brought along under duress and lived to ride another day, but motorway speeds are pretty much required.
I won't be there this week but my bike has been complaining about the boring winter commutes and wants to get out and stretch its legs sometime soon...
Hey Rafael,
JSG here - came to yours to check out your leathers. Missed out by clicking the next bid too late.
If you would like to meet here: https://maps.google.co.nz/maps?oe=ut...ed=0CCEQ8gEwAA
At 10am on Sunday. Some of us are off for a slow and careful ride.
Keen but working
Sunday riding sounds good ... weather being cooperative of course.
Cheers,
Rhys
