    Pretty much.

But I thought of another one - the grin on my boys face when he's sitting in the chair. I do have to speak to him about giving the Hitler salute to oncoming traffic though...

You should be hitting 3000km by 2032. It might pay to change the tires at the halfway mark. By then you will have swapped out the last original component, too.

    Ural/Dnepr Parts

I sold my Ural 650 outfit only about a year ago. Great fun but I had no-one else to play with and my two teenage girls just found it embarrassing and were not interested in playing with Dad, guess I caught them too late. Anyway one day I will move from the big smoke to the country get a dog (they love sitting in the chair) and a sidecar and go hunting country gravel because that is where they belong and not trying to keep up with main road traffic.

When it breaks (and it will) or when the tyres wear out ( and that rear one will quickly) get in contact with Kurt Nielsen redtriangle@eol.co.nz he imports Urals, used to have cheap tyres, has some parts and is a damn fine fellow.

Meanwhile enjoy, outfits are a blast.

    Thanks for that.
Yes, I had been warned that these things aren't just transportation, they're a hobby. I've already done a bit of work on it, reattaching stuff and improving bits.

While I was at work the boys came around yesterday and took the Dnepr away to set it up. When it came back, they'd sorted out the steering damper and adjusted the chair struts so it rides much nicer. It actually goes in a straight line and is only trying to kill me on some corners...

I've got an old farm sidecar sitting in a corner - when I run out of things to do, or the ability to stand up straight I might adapt it to the R65. It has to be more usefull than just carrying people around in. I've alway had a dream to make a stand up MX style chair for road use - having a passenger work with you rather than just sit there is a whole new level of fun.
