JV. (Hence over the fence - worked out that you must be on SF2 from your shots on FB.)

Hit me up if you want to come pose for the camera with some turbine rotors.

I've got no problem sharing the road with others. I'm sure we can proceed around the Peninsula in a safe manner and still have fun.

It has been known to happen.

Agreed....bugger knows why small peckered weenies believe that they need to nail it in order to have any fun at all on their bikes.

Balu and I did the loop today. Great weather for it, nice stops at Coromandel, Whitianga and Tairua. A few bikes out and about, a couple of cars that we let pass as they'd developed a weird attraction to my backside, only one stop to let a herd of moo moos do their road crossing thing, and a quick chat with a couple of ladies who belong to Ulysses in Australia. Also was a good opportunity to get my derriere saddle ready for our big trip in January...

I should be keen to come along.

Never done the coro loop before so how bad is traffic really gonna be, will it be stop start most of the way or like 30k's behind cagers with boats etc?

I would suggest having lots of patience, not taking unnecessary risks (lots of tightish corners and narrow margins for error - pretty unforgiving for long stretches), and definitely ride your own ride. You can't really get lost and chances are there will be a few smaller groups form within the larger overall group.

It's about the fact that no Coro ride is ever going to be organised on this site without it becoming some sort of cock stroking attempt at oneupmanship.

    But you knew that already.
So you gonna sit at home cock stroking instead? Some people just like going for rides and not giving a shit about who's fastest etc.

As for me I'll be on babysitting duty, so unless someone on their 6F want to pillion a 8 year old girl...? She has a hot pink helmet and leather jacket

(She is also prone to car sickness, but motorbikes aren't cars so she should be sweet)

I think the traffic will be ok for the first part of the day. I expect it'll get heavier in the afternoon as everyone heads home.
