Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity
Over the hill doesn't bother me at all, and Castrol is a pretty slow entry speed corner. By the time you're carrying any pace you are running fuckin near parallel to it.
+1
I don't race bikes but I do race a car.
Pukekohe is a 'bumpy shit hole'.
As you come up over the rise onto the start/finish straight the Ford signs on the left have black circles all the way along. These tyre marks are there because the vigorous bumps in the circuit 'bounce' you across the track towards these barriers as you scream at full noise around the cornered rise onto the straight.
You may say "race to the conditions". I expect a dirt rally road to have ruts and corrugations - not a sealed permanent circuit. I have raced all over NZ at hill climbs, permanent circuits and temporary street circuts. Pukekohe is by far the worst.
The infield pit area is crap. My last meeting there featured many oversea's racers who were put in the old steel framed area believing they were being allocated an enclosed pit. Their very expensive cars were constantly dripped on by rusty water from the dilapidated structure. The Pukekohe Warehouse did a great trade in tarpaulin's and gazebo's.
I race my car as often as possible. I'll happily tow it anywhere in NZ to race. Racing is the biggest buzz and most fun I have ever had.
However, I HATED Pukekohe.
