Saw you lads and ladettes fly through Rangiora. Saw a few familiar bikes. Hope it was a good one guys!

We had a good ride. Some sunstrike which was a pain. The rain held off until I was nearly home. I hope everyone else got home reasonably dry.

Unfortunately I did get the chance to see how waterproof my new jacket is, and the answer was not particularly waterproof at all - by the time I got home the front of my t-shirt had accumulated rather a lot of water.

I have yet to find a jacket that is actually waterproof. No matter what the label says, I always end up with a GoreTex layer over the top.

Work happened. I had to take yesterday(Wednesday) instead of today off. Since I'm starting at 3am, I thought I'd better have an early one.

I was off crook wed so no riding. Listened out for you lot going past but didn't hear a thing, only heard one solitary v-twin all night. How many were in the group?

Yes. Through the Tube to Port, round the Bays, regroup at the shops by Godley House, then as he said.
