    Cog Help! No speedo!

The LCD / speedo on my 2006 Hyosung 250Gtr is kaput.

Any suggestions on where / how to fix or replace?

Not to fussed to replace with an aftermarket option either...but haven't been able to find one!!

    Any tips much appreciated.

Troubleshooting so far indicates definitely the LCD / dash, and not the wiring etc.

Yes, but the pushiest speedo is fine too. You don't need a speedo to get a WoF.

Interesting... I was told that I could not get one without a working speedo.

Maybe the guy meant odo...rather than speedo?

I suspect the Odometer is the WoF item.

i believe the speedo is a WOF req., or, (as it used to be) "an instrument to indicate speed" -which coulda been the rev gauge if you could wax lyrical on gear ratios.
but nowadaze i reckon you need a speedo...

Have run vehicles without speedos more than once over the last 30 years. Never had an issue at WoF time.

Proof of accuracy is not required. They just have to work.

The onus is on the vehicle operator to stay within the speed limits ... an inaccurate or no working speedo is not an acceptable excuse.
