That final race was awesome. 20 laps was perfect. Lots of time to plan out the race. It was awesome to see Fish with a much faster bike, only very slightly slower than mine. Pushing to catch him in that final race was the hardest I have pushed in a long time, I had no idea if I was going to crash or not which was very fun!!! When I did catch him his knee slider went flying off at the second to last corner about halfway through the race. I nearly ran over the bloody thing. Even after we got through the lap traffic (without the knee slider) the lap times didn't drop too much, not enough for me to make a clean pass without possibly bashing into him. I probably still should have tried but Fish deserved the win for sure. It was cool to see where you were faster than me and where I caught you. I should have been filming that race. Can't wait for the next round, that was an awesome adrenaline rush.

I was marshalling and saw you just trying to edge past him for the majority of the race but he was flying, deserved the win for sure.

I think I was a bit far back by the time I got through the field to catch any of it on camera but ill have a look! My bike is going to get some mild work like carb etc so hopefully I can run with you guys! Still think you should have started at the back hahaha

The 20 laps wasn't my best race, attn was all over the place & was by myself for most of it.

the 2nd race & 2nd to last (Richs vid) where I got a good start in both were Epic. I was pushing real hard to try stay ahead of Fish (I'd assumed it was Rich but I didn't dare look). I lost track of the laps & couldn't convince myself the attn to look at the lap count down display.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Haha I did start from the back, I just got a really good start. I think it was a slight advantage starting at the back rather than in the middle, I could avoid all the carnage that you guys went through!!

Video of the last race coming soon. I was not so happy on the bike with the exhaust picking me up a few times. You can hear it scraping along. Had a good sideways moment just before chopper gets me back. Then the bloody head gasket lets go. I thought is was the exhaust at first. Bugger. Oh well better now than in Auckland. Great days racing for sure. Loved the wet race on slicks. Exhaust fixed now. Looking forward to the corners a bit more.

A good idea is to copper ring the barrel then you will never blow a head gasket again

Cool footage Rich, too bad about that pipe! Heard it hitting the ground heaps. That last one must have been close to a crash. Sloan is looking fast out there too. Modify that engine Sloan!

Last race the bike started to feel like it had some power but once I saw my knee slider on the deck it upset my flow. I didn't see Hamish up my arse until the last few laps but had a ball all the same, good to out there after about 4 or 5 months. Thanks for the vids Rich
It's not what you ride but how you ride it!!

Sloan was mega fast. On a stock engine bike he was flying. Yeah the exhaust thing really put me off. Couldn't get into the grove or lean the bike over much. Good shake down before auckland this weekend. Can't wait. Hope its sunny.

I saw you turn around a couple of times but you turned the wrong way haha. Yeah it was the first lap we hit the lap traffic that it flew off (lap 11). You still rode pretty bloody hard!!
