Un huh, thats what they all say.
Disclaimer: I don't actually know what I'm talking about and everything I say should be taken as words of wisdom from a armchair general/mechanic/engineer/racer.

I forgot to mention Graeme Harris is looking to offload his 'classic' Mo Haley short bike.

Unsure of year, mines about a 1984 and his is a few years older.

He didn't actually give me that many details to advertise it but I pass on the price which was the main bit and bulk up the details with whatever he gave me or what I think I know:

    9.5k as is (lol)
Motor in the chassis is his 'Hot' motor. This Carb'd earlier R1 motor has a Klaus Klaffenböck cylinder head (edit: head comes off the klaffi LCR that pirate has)
It's never been on a dyno that I know of - but I have heard him claim 170hp several times. (It is pretty rapid in a straight line - especially considering how heavy the bike is)
2 X Spare R1 Motors. Unknown condition, one in various pieces would need reassembly.
6 Rims at least, 3 with slicks on and 3 with wets, he may have a couple extra rims. All steel I assume.
Bike runs trailing link setup upfront but only uses one shock, and monoshock rear as well with a single side swingarm.
Carbon fibre airbox.. temp guage. About the only luxuries..
Might have a few spare tyres to throw in..

Bout it, he said he would negotiate possibly, selling the hot motor seperate and selling the bike with a standard r1 for cheaper.

I had a friend in chch offering him 5k for it and he didn't wanna sell it..

PM me and he said I can pass his cell number along if anyone is interested.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, at least we know we'll never have to try and pass him on a long chair. He's stuck with his outfit for that money.

Been a year and a half since we rode. All three times of it.

Still went faster than you round Levels too, and never ridden one before then at all.

yea but could you change gear? I only used one or two and often didn't bother. we hadnt made a working gear shifter at levels. haven't had a go at levels since we made one but we did 1.55 at puna when we finished it.

damn long legs, I still don't fit in it properly, when I do it'll be much easier to ride.

Choice, went faster round Puna too!

Move the knee holders forward I would think. Rather than trying to re engineer the pegs. That way it's easy as fuck to put packers in if anyone else is riding. Plus, fibre glass is much easier to work with, than linkage rates and shit.

haha did ya? thought u did 1.58

yea the fuel tank makes up the left kneeler bit.. we will rebuild it when we have a gap. will need to cut and re weld the fuel tank and chop up the seat. she'll be right!

and no fibreglass on agip bike.. steel/aluminium haha. only the main fairing is fibreglass.

Unofficial 1.54 on Bills bike. Transponder was flat, but some folk timed us.

Oh right. That all sounds pretty bloody difficult.

haha different bike doesn't count AND unofficial.. what is this? haha.

I don't think prev owner managed to peddle the agip bike around puna faster than 1:55.. and dunno bout earlier in its life.. I'm gonna keep going and see how fast I can get it around without touching the engine.

next few pay checks to save and then will try new avons all round (maybe for nats.. maybe). switching from bridgestones.

suspension could probably be rebuilt as well I'm guessing.. and setup for our team weight n shit

Your outfit must have gone faster than 1m55s. Warwick will be along shortly to show us he's as old as dirt, with a memory like an elephant. Not gonna make any comparisons to his figure there...

Him and someone went 1m54s on the outfit we were doin 58's on.
