What happened? I hope it was only your ego that was bruised. Did you hit some gravel or something?

That was me at the Ashley bridge SS. After my Italian disgraced itself last week, my dear old GB went on strike and laid down for a in the middle of the road.

Thankyou Max, without your help I would have been very deep in IT. Have more or less straightened the clutch lever, it has a nice sine wave in it.

    Anyone for Akaroa next WNR????
Like Gareth says, hope it's only a bruised ego!? Hope your ok?

G my ego is so badly bruised it will probably never recover. I remained more or less upright throughout, it was GB that hit the gravel.

My dear old GB has one very bad habit, when it comes back to idle it will on some occasions cut out. I understand it is a carburation issue with the GBs. As the electric leg is US I have to use my own. I overbanced when when kickstarting. GB fell over. Max assisted getting a flooded engine restarted. Took fifteen minutes or so.

Big bouquet to Max and the people who helped pickup GB. (Getting too old for this game)

KP my ego is nearly as bruised as the time I dropped (Walter?????) but ego is the only personal casualty. Clutch lever and gear pedal slightly bent and soon straightened enough to be usable. (note to self. .... MUST FIX THE ELECTRIC START. .........)
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Working overtime tends to make you tired, not worth the risk riding when energy levels are low Gary. 11hrs work then ride 200k, not a really wise move at my age. Well any age for that matter. It will be the new year before work slows up enough , dont want the "lets lie down for a wee sleep" demon catching me again eh.
