I bet $70 that they are 100% Shift knock offs.

But still, $70 for leather pants...

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

That site is known for selling cheap knock-offs and fakes and it doesnt even say anywhere on his add that they are Shift Havoc pants. He's just used a stock photo of them and copied the description.

    Hi all

Wow I did not expect such a huge respose!

As it has been pointed out the supplier does not advertise them as shift havoc pants and yes they certainly maybe copies but I personally am happy to pay this amount for a copy and deal with the risk involved. I understand if anyone would wish to opt out if they are not happy to take this risk.

I have done some checking on the customs website and there will be an extra 10% duty fee plus 15% GST and then there is the postage cost. at my reckoning I estimate a final cost of around $70 per item plus shipping which I cannot guess at untill I have more info from the supplier.

I think it would be prudent to close orders on saturday and get going on the money collection and ordering hopefully by mid next week.

Although keep in mind that this could all fall to sh*t if the supplier turns out to be an ass.
Will keep you posted on how I get on with comms with the supplier.

Sorry if I have not repplied to you all personally I just don't have the time with kids and work etc. I will PM everone who is still in on sunday once orders are closed.

    Cheers
    Mike

Just had a conversation with the supplier as follows:

    Michael Wilson(2012-12-3 19:21:1)
    Hi Michael here
Just to clarify, I will be having the entire shipment delivered to one address. So I expect the freight cost would be less?
I will have a final quantity on saturday 8th December 2012, so far the number is 21, will the cost be less with a higher order?
Could you please provide a price for the entire order to be delivered to one address based on an order of 25 units.
    Thankyou
    Michael Wilson

As I see it - us$99.20 including shipping per pant to separate addresses.

The nz$56 was price for the pants excluding shipping customs and gst. - (direct conversion from euro to nzd)

The plan is to get the entire shipment to my address to cut down on shipping fees. And then distribute from my address be it pick-up, postal delivery or personal delivery from me to an auckland address or even a meet up - whatever to keep the cost down.

As in the transcript above he cant give me a final price until I have confirmed numbers - I know - I also would like a definite price before I commit, but I also understand that he can't give an exact quote until I give him the final order number.

Once I give him the number and he gives me the final quote and if you don't like the price then you don't have to pay, please don't feel pressured into anything you don't feel comfortable with.

    Regards
    Mike

Are we buying from the factory that made the shift gear and what we are getting is genuine shift minus the label? or are we getting cheap copies
You can see the shift logo in the sample pics so im a little confused.
    What exactly are we getting?

I also am checking this out - my last email to supplier as follows, awaiting reply:

    Hello Anjum

As you are probably aware the picture in you advertisement is of the "SHIFT" brand "HAVOC HYBRID" pant. Can you confirm that this is the pant or a copy of the pant that meets the following specifications:

•Leather and textile over the boot pants provide excellent protection and comfort without the road racer look
    •Removable CE approved knee armor
•Stretch fabric panels in key areas for added flexibility and comfort
•600D polyester panels for flexibility and ventilation
•Accordion panels in key flex areas for unrestricted movement
•Two front hip pockets and one cargo pocket
•"Tunnel" system waist adjustment with double snap front closure
•8-inch connection zipper for attachment to jackets
    •Reflective piping for added visibility

If this does not describe the pant could you please provide a detailed description please

    Thankyou

    Regards

    Michael Wilson

Finding it hard to justify buying a second pair now that the price has pretty much doubled. Sorry I am out now too.

By the looks of how many you have interested it shouldn't matter anyway.
