Well you probably all know about & have used the speed tests about the place which will give out a "somewhere about there" speed of your connection.
Well here's one that'll show you your ISP's shaping policies i.e. why you get such a good score on the speed site (prioritised by most ISP's) yet despite more than enough speed YouTube don't stream so well etc

you can test the basics, bittorrent, email, youtube, http etc with the prebuilt tests halfway down the page or if your that way inclined they have instructions on how to build your own complete test to see just how your ISP shapes its traffic (Warning: the latter option does require effort)

Is your upload traffic rate limited?
There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your uploads.

Is your download traffic rate limited?
There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your downloads.
However, some of the measurements were affected by noise, which limits Glasnost ability to detect rate limiting.

Details:

There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your FlashVideo downloads. In our tests, downloads using control flows achieved up to 9102 Kbps while downloads using FlashVideo achieved up to 9131 Kbps.

There is no indication that your ISP rate limits downloads on port 8080 or 53316. In our tests, downloads on port 8080 achieved up to 9131 Kbps while downloads on port 53316 achieved up to 10664 Kbps.

Yep thats what I got too, complete with the noise interference... However it's good to see they don't limit bittorrents either (atleast now yet, their new owner Vodafone may change that)

Try it again after 6pm, some ISPs shape their traffic based on expected loadings for a time period, fwiw. If nothing else, you'll know when to hammer them
