IMO the 16 year old has fabricated the entire conversation.
What will be amusing is if it turns out that no cop cars were in that area when this soposedly happened. OR if he was pulled over for a ticket and camera footage from cctv /the cop car shows the real story.

Of course I could be wrong.
I'm sorry - why do people think, as in the above two examples, that the young person did flip the cop the bird? Or that it was a setup?
I've been on the receiving end of such a false accusation by a cop - and other people's whose word I trust have also been opn the receiving end of such an accusation ...
I'm not inclined to make a judgement on this one either way - BUT I have seen police behave in exactly the way the young person suggests. I have no reason to believe the young person is lying - but equally I have no reason to beliee he is telling the truth ... his story, to me, from experience, is plausible at least ...
Are you so middle class that you think a police officer woudl not behave in that way?
A colleague I work with drove her son's car aroudn town one evening/night .. and was a little shocked that she kept being stopped by police officers - who were very surprised to see a middle aged white woman driving the car ... (her husband is Māori so you dan guess how her sons look) .. She now has a better undersdtanding of how her son is treated by the popos ... some of you could learn a lot by tryign the same thing ..
