IMO the 16 year old has fabricated the entire conversation.
What will be amusing is if it turns out that no cop cars were in that area when this soposedly happened. OR if he was pulled over for a ticket and camera footage from cctv /the cop car shows the real story.
Not so fast, mate! This is KB where it is the "way" to make judgements based on as few facts and as little information as can be had. Not only that, but the judgements must be couched in as forceful and derogitory terms as possible and by extenuation, blast all with the same shotgun appraoch if they dare disagree with you!

Haven't you been around long enough to realise that one must never let the facts get in the way of a rant?

It must be a hard job if people hate you for being a hard liner,,but also put shit on you if you cut them a break.

So some of them treat people like their just two faced cunts that deserve everything they get,,,well I wonder why that would be huh ?
Too right, the cop gave the guy a break and gets a hard time for being dishonest, maybe the cops should never ever give us breaks ever again, would that be better?. Seriously I thought that this type of (we are motorcyclists so we have special rights) type of biker had died off years ago.

Oh definitely! Red reps cut to the heart! Especially from those who are immature haters and who's opinion one really couldn't care less about...

No one has mentioned the parents. Even if the youth's story is 100% true, who the feck lawyers up because someone had a wee swear at junior. Jeez! I'm picking if this did actually take place and isn't a setup, junior did flip the bird at popo but that his attitude is probably a product of his anti-popo parents so the behaviour is ingrained and probably supported by ma and pa ... hence their hurry to discuss it with a lawyer.

Of course I could be wrong.

I'm sorry - why do people think, as in the above two examples, that the young person did flip the cop the bird? Or that it was a setup?

I've been on the receiving end of such a false accusation by a cop - and other people's whose word I trust have also been opn the receiving end of such an accusation ...

I'm not inclined to make a judgement on this one either way - BUT I have seen police behave in exactly the way the young person suggests. I have no reason to believe the young person is lying - but equally I have no reason to beliee he is telling the truth ... his story, to me, from experience, is plausible at least ...

Are you so middle class that you think a police officer woudl not behave in that way?

A colleague I work with drove her son's car aroudn town one evening/night .. and was a little shocked that she kept being stopped by police officers - who were very surprised to see a middle aged white woman driving the car ... (her husband is Māori so you dan guess how her sons look) .. She now has a better undersdtanding of how her son is treated by the popos ... some of you could learn a lot by tryign the same thing ..

Probably because he sounded like a smarmy little prick that deserved a smack in the chops.

I have no doubt that not only did he flip the copper off, but didn't record shite from the radio. What he needs is a good phone booking by a couple of the boys in blue, and his old man needs to get a big black dick up him.

Now having said that, that officer is an unprofessional dick head who needs to be demoted a few notches and to undertake some dealing with other dick heads training. Either that or he needs to be sacked from front line policing.

Sorry bandit bandit but my opinion is based on being a parent of a 16 year old,14 year old and haveing current interaction with them and their circle of freinds/associates.Im also pheriphically involved with the local community policing.
Nothing to do with being upper/lower middle class. Just about being a parent.
I won't go into a rant here but basicly Im much more inclined to believe a police officers story that that of a 16 year old.

Could you please include a few more stereotypes in your little story,,,you were being a bit vague there mate.

BTW,,,I'm rather brown myself "I live in South Auckland and I drive an 83 Nissan "Prime target" but I don't keep getting stopped by the police when I drive into Manukau city at night.

So forgive me if I call BULLSHIT.

I think the point is that people are stereotyping .. Now, I'm not making any judgement weither way - there are two sides - the cops and the young persons .. we do not know who is telling the truth .. I have reasons to believe the young person may be telling the truth and I have reasons to believe the cop may be telling the truth ... (to rephrase it in a different way)

Why do the majority of people here think it is the cop who is telling the truth ???

The arrogant tone of that childs voice, in my experience, is consistent with a disrespectful little fuck wit who would be likely to bait the police.

They both sound the same, both of them sound like arrogant fuckers.
The cop no better than the kid, the kid no better than the cop. The only difference between the 2 is one's paid to keep his mouth shut, just like anybody with a job

I think its pretty certain 'something' triggered this off. A recording is like a photograph - its a wee snapshot of time and you cant see the area outside the frame...

Theres something stinky about the whole thing and for a teenager to be carrying a tape recorder? Oh please...
