    Gives me chills

    Hey fellow riders

How's this for creepy. Was meant to be going to Tauranga today in convoy with my brother's car. Have a new bike, which I'm not fully gelled with yet and something didn't feel right, so I called it off. Always listen to the voice in the head. Anyway, just got the text from him, he arrived in Tauranga but there was a massive crash in front of them involving two cars and a RV with live power lines down on the road as well. The cars behind him couldn't stop in time and came close to crashing into them. If I was in convoy, ahead or behind, he said there was a good chance I would have been collected either way.

    Funny how fate works.

    Gave me goosebumps.

Yeah. I've had some bad moments when I didn't listen (like when I wrote off my VFR750), and I'm alive now because I erred on the side of "Yeah - do it!" when trying to decide whether to ask the doc if he could check my heart out, during a routine visit to get a repeat prescription.

Fate? Or something bigger? Depends on your beliefs, I guess.
Anyways - have a very Merry Christmas.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

The biggest thing that sticks out to me is to always have an escape route. I've had the vehicle behind occupy my space when the car in front stopped suddenly. Lucky for me I'd planned ahead and was standing beside the car in front at the time.

None of that post is about 'FATE'. You were not even there. Find another attitude for life, before you destroy yourself with your own negative thoughts.

As rare as it might be, I'm in full agreement with this poster.

Get a better life attitude, ride your own ride and do everything you can to make sure you are safe, it might still have happened, but it didn't.
Karma, meant to be, who knows, you've missed out on a bloody great day for a ride is all I know.

Haha, believing in fate isn't negative, in fact there is no negative connotations in my post, just musing that there was a chance I would have been in the accident and that my uneasy feeling and subsequent cancelling of the trip coinciding with it gave me chills.

My life attitude is great and destroying myself with my thought pattern is a bit extreme .
