Don't know who it was but I watched someone on a 250 prod which looked like a Kawa, backing it in to the hairpin....impressive, one to watch.

General standard of presentation seems up this year too.[/QUOTE]

That someone was 19yr old aussie Luke Burgess...very impressive riding indeed.
He had a clean sweep of results in 250 proddie....but the battle for second in the 250 GP between grant ramage & bailie perriton was epic...The youngster from Ashburton holding off the old hand from Timaru.
Standard of bikes in 250 proddie was fanatastic

    Bailie was impressive.
Had a dice with him at Taupo... before I nearly chucked the whole thing away... he learnt the track very quickly.
Great to see him riding so well against Grant.

Luke is all class.... Great to have him over here.

You guys are doing amazing stuff for the sport down there. Thank you for promoting the class like you do.
And a huge thank you to all the 250 Production National competitors for turning up on the well turned out machinery.

What a cool class this is too! Excellent to see Grant Ramage riding in this class... Hope it really takes off in NZ. Will be a good affordable breading ground.

    So do I.
I have been campaigning a 250 Production Bike (Formally 250 ProLite) for 2 years now.
It has been a lot of fun, and have enjoyed racing against some talented young lads.
It is awesome to see them step up onto bigger bikes and do very well for themselves.

That said, the racing is so much fun, if you want to race on a shoe string budget, then there is always plenty of competition in 250 Production. I am looking forward to more, as so far it has been awesome!

I agree. Grant will give the class a lot of credibility too.

Yep, as I was saying to a couple of guys on the wall - The Old buggers LEATHERS are years older than most of the other Competitors !
Best thing about the Class is the smiles on every single face when they come in ..... well, until Tech Inspection anyway !!!!!!!

I know mate. I used to race 250 proddie with Grant back in 1990/91! Our bikes smoked though!! Great class regardless of engine type though. I've always been a fan of such classes. Hope it goes from strength to strength.

What is it about Timaru that the old buggers keep keeping on ? Pete Sutcliffe was out there too.

I looked round and thought it was a time warp....
