    define 'on your record'?

The police tend to hold onto various pieces of information for use by themselves only.

If you go and apply for a new job, and they request that you allow them to do a police check - it is not likely that the warning will show up in said police check - on the other hand, next time you have an interaction with the police in person, and they run your name through the radio to comms and ask for a background on the spot - the warning will probably e mentioned.

The police effectively hold more than one 'record' of you - info that they keep for themselves,a nd that which gets displayed on your 'oficial record' - the one that employers might ask to see.

Someone with contrary evodence please feel free to correct me if I am wrong!

For a start ... don't stress it. A formal warning is better than a formal charge.

The thing is ... it is not proof any offence had occurred. (innocent until proven ... etc) and it may be .... they aren't sure they have enough evidence to make it stick in a court of law. But shows as a record you were warned for the alleged offence. Should you commit any similar offence in future ... it may come back to haunt you.

If this is the case ... and depending on the case circumstances ... a lawyer may get it's importance removed/reduced in any new case. (They cost ... but you do need one then)

I guess the one any potential employer may see, I am aware that the police do hold more info on known persons than what an old charge sheet would tell them, flags for family violence ect.....
So I guess the question should of been...Will a formal warning show up on an employment check.
