Yep! Picked em up last week. Still breaking em in

Would be good for me to get an idea of how the NP ride will go ...its 330kms with our longest stint in the saddle being 90kms.
I have an idea of where to go this weekend...a nice spot in parts northern with an 80km ride from the start to lunch.
Thats the same distance of the first leg on the 9th, before a five minute regroup.

Sorry for the late response been without internet for some days and after that recovering a few days from a drive back from Paihia to Auckland with only a short stop for gas

whose journey will start at, or come through the shore? maybe I could meet someone here and we can ride together? no biggy though

Well not near Howick itself, but definitely on one of the roads going down south I'd be taking as well then.

Would love to join you guys, but it doesn't look like there's any cabins left. That's what you get if you can't make up your mind. It's not that I haven't seen this thread around for some time (although back in the days I still thought "L's" could be short for "Hells"...

It has the advantage that I don't have to tell my boss that I can't come to his work dinner thing, but it would have been cool to meet some of people here, get some more experience and for a change not to always have to ride alone.

But anyway, if anyone has a spare bed in their cabin for me, please let me know.

I'm keen on a ride this Saturday, if you lot are still doing it. I'm starting in New Lynn. LMK time and place.

I would have loved to join the trip to the Naki. I know those roads well.
But a volleyball tournament in Wanganui has got in the way (as it happens, joining a team from the Naki).

Sorry I might have booked the last one today, I chickened out on the tent thing. It's a studio so no amenities and only one bed...so kind-of like a big wooden tent that I don't have to carry.
