    Caesar is overrated :P

The only offering I make to the god of speed is the little bit of poo that comes out when I hit about 2 spot and the corner ahead is approaching a little faster than I'd like :P

Or your nudging the big 200 hundy and a tractor comes hurtling out of a farm track with its loader about head height.

My bike Rego isnt to my home address

and I had to slow down because this morning as I normally hit 70-100km at the start of the pram motorway before the signs but saw a 4x4 cop car ahead :s

I'll take the 122 klicks over the passed 140 klicks=walking territory ...

But - the cop did not appear to be turning so after a few corners, when he wasn't there - I kicked it hard (180+ klicks) just to make sure he would not find me ... when around a corner I came - straight at a second cop car waiting for me .... and then as I'm taking off my helmet a third cop pulls up ... the cop who stopped me tells me the first car is coming - he radioed to tell the others to stop me ... the cop who actually stopped me did not try for a speed reading ... (lucky, I was about 30ks over the limit there - not 22 ... would have cost me even more ...) Apparently there was a few of them because they were on the way to a drug operation ... and just happened to run across a speeding motorcycle ... two of them weren't even local - they were from Rotorua ..

The first car arrives back and the cop then proceeds to take my licence, get on the radio - etc etc .. the two others (younger cops) then tell me they both ride bikes and they would not have stopped me ... but the other cop is not that way inclined, so sorry. They comment on the bike and the tyres ("no chicken strips - you ride this hard" etc) ...

I'm amused by the good cop/bad cop routines ...

Oh well .. 20 demerit points now ($170 fine) and two years to try to get back to zero ...

Yeah ... I generally find that close encounters with the cops these days is a pleasant experience ... (apart from the unpleasantness of paying the ticket and accumulating demerit points) ... probably because I cut my hair off, I don't wear 1%er cuts over my leathers any more, my bikes are modern Jap, rego and warranted - and I don't give them attitude ... because I did it .. can't complain or bitch about a ticket for something I knowingly did ... (plus - when I take off my helmet and the cops see the white hair they probably back down a little ...)

And then I went down town at lunch time and checked my Lotto tickets - one paid me $23 - so that's 14% of the fine paid ..

Yes, pity no one mentioned this to me prior to my trip to Mystery Creek. I would not normally take the main roads, but.. it was late, I was tired, and it was a work related trip so I didnt think I should abuse the priviledge.

Well this is quite interesting, it seems all of a sudden the cops are out in force. I covered a fair bit of ground over the long weekend including supposed "blackspots" and saw one cop the whole time.
I have also been doing my best to keep the Govts. coffers full, and over the last few months have pretty much lost count of the number of times I have encounterd a cop car while I've been doing 120-130 kph (10 instances at least).
The biggest punishment I have recieved is a 2 minute chat where it was suggested I should slow down, he didn't even ask for my license.
Now I'm not complaing (I do have a small conspiracy theory about it though) but must admit I am somewhat confused as to the lack of infringement notices being handed to me.
Has anyone else here experienced this?
