For the next ride I want to go up to auckland the night before and start at the very start.
Always a welcome sight Hayden, third ride for you now.

As it was my first ride with you I was a good boy (unlike some) and didn't overtake within my group You did a fantastic job, and it would be great to meet up for a ride again sometime.
The only reason for the 'no overtaking within a group thing' is to stop the 'sit back and then carve everyone up' scenario from happening.
Group one is for those who perfer to get out there and make the most of it, much like the slower riders.
Good to have you along Simon, looking at April for the next.

Ooops, yeah that would be me. Wasn't sure what to do about that. When I'm on my own I just let them pass, but within the group he would have just gone and bothered the next rider and I was a bit worried to be cut off from the others.

Next time I'll now better. Did you say April?

Yeah, it was a bit of a shame that you did not get that bit of info I dont mind taking heat from cars, but sometimes it is just better to let them go, specially if they can get past all/most of the group, slowing right down, indicating left and pulling over just makes it that much easier for them to go away out of youe need to be concerned about list.

First priority on a ride is your own safety. But don't worry about being "Cut off from the others" as they will still be in sight (or not far out of sight). They know you are behind them still ... and there is little you can do from behind that car to protect the other riders. Best just to drop back a bit and not get involved in any incident. The others wont be more than a minute or so ahead. If you know where the next stop point is ... there should be no problems with the others getting ahead.

Bunching up can even put more riders into an incident. Spread out and let the road hog pass with ease. Less stress all round.
When life throws you a curve ... Lean into it ...

I'd be in with a grin if this were a ride I'd be allowed on

Nobody complained about my muff. They were quite impressed about it actually. Most people are.

I didn't see him today he works in a different building. But he did ring and try to prank me, something about he'd like to report a speeding motorcyclist on a gn250, but I have caller ID so it was a no go and also complete rubbish no one would ever believe that
