The Mobil on East Tamaki Rd is often the cheapest around, it's between the motorway and office for me. I steer clear of Mobil tho, not sure if they use ethanol. The Caltex further down, past Preston Rd is very close behind, along with the Shell over by Botany Town Centre (but not the other 3 Shells in the area).
Best buy is Caltex at cheap price, AA smartfuel card and spend at least $40. 6c off per litre
Generally speaking fuel is cheaper in poor areas and more expensive in affluent areas.

I reckon everyone just charges more because they can, I don't believe the price of oil has gone up much has it? and our exchange rate is high...
If the guys selling gas at 18cents per litre more dropped their prices, they would probarbly gain very few extra sales and would just be giving away margin.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
You're right about the fuel being cheaper in the poor areas etc, I read a NZ Herald article about it late last year.
Mobil have a page with a link to the sites that sell ethanol blended fuel:http://www.mobil.co.nz/New_Zealand-E...cts_fuels.aspx
Two days ago I was buying diesel at $1.379 per litre.
