I was there for the 1st time, racing and weather was awesome but I definitely felt like there should of been a lot more of a crowd and you guys saying it just confirms I was thinking right.meant I got to see all of the track from the different spots though so really enjoyed that and am looking forward to next year.as for crashes saw quite a few but not the real bad one,as per other posts hope the guys ok
I got there around 11:00 to hear there'd been a bad accident,,racing got going again about 12:00.
Smallest crowd I've ever seen and we watched from several different places "ending up at the 50 meter mark end of main st.
Was another accident that saw one rider taken away by ambo around 3:00,,,guy hit the ground F'ing hard an never moved again,,,hope he's ok.
Great day out but I might skip it next year unless the fields increase and the price comes down.
Some more if you want.......
If you can put up a race number I'll see if I've got one of you............![]()
I saw the "Incident", several of them actually including the one getting his head runned over, was 10 or so metres away. Not a nice picture to have in my head still... Anyway I had to leave about 4 I seriously struggled with the heat! Also got myself worked up trying not to hit one of the fence posts when I was leaving the reserve in front of all the bikers! For $30 should have got a bloody programme too I thought!!
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.

The people I talked to that were running the bbqs said numbers were down big time on previous years. I asked if they had any thoughts. They suggested that is was the $30??????? I reckon $30 is pretty good value. Would have like to see more trade stalls.
Why were numbers down????
PS if you were the f.tard on the gsxr1000 whom took me on the inside on the way back. You are a![]()
I am thinking it may have had to do with the NZ V8 Toureres that were at HD again ... Last year they had their debut on the same day & this year they did the same
You must have been standing near me at the Ss.
Ditto offer re photos from numbers.

I bet the rave organisers are facing bigger costs for consents etc. 'cause a 50% hike in admision is otherwise contrary to attracting more spectators...probably the V8's took a couple thousand fence sitters away...
The Coro loop diversion was worth the expense as always![]()
OK.. I'll have a look through those....
It has become harder to get decent pics now with the wire fences everywhere.... I'm sure I got better ones with a film camera 10 years ago..
Anyway,I found this lying on the ground... some camera man must have walked off in disgust and forgot it...
To be put off by a pitiful $30 admission fee is pathetic.
Competitor entries were $150, I did a full top end overhaul on one bike in the week prior, at whatever they cost, my teams used more than $70 worth of race gas, several hundred worth of tyres & several hundred in repairs resulting from competing at Paeroa, in the weeks to come.
Not to mention two of my riders who flew from Australia to compete.
Seriously, thirty fuckin dollars. Get over yourselves.
