I remember that chair team from last year. Saw them doing that a few laps coming out of the hairpin - I was standing next to a couple from Aussie who came to Paeroa every year as they just couldn't see racing like that back home. Watching those hell-for-leather shoulder draggers right up close through the deer fence reminds you how lucky we are to have such great bike racing events in NZ.
You want some advice - lightning strikes once, it does not strike twice!

Number 22 In Senior Classics Please , a Yellow Manx Norton.

Had a crash in Race 1 at the Hairpin and then got left behind on the Grid for Race 2 making for a very late start. Both a result of a piece of shit gearbox that is going in the scrap bin....

You could of gone to Hampton Downs the week before and seen it for $20.

Plus It's not just the $30.

That one day of limited field racing where the bikes actually cost me a little over $100 an that was doing it on the cheap.

For somebody on a limited budget,,that $100 will effect my budget for the next 3 weeks.

If the people running the show want to turn it into a "rich only" thing,,,,well good for them but they better not expect me to give a shit when "they" go belly up.

Also what it costs the competitors means diddly squat to somebody struggling to make ends meet,,,I don't have a fucking sponser so next year I think I might take the cheaper option and go watch the cars at HD,,and the classics at HD,,,spend less money an get twice the show.

    Actually,,,Fuck Paeroa,,,I can't afford to rebuild "my" race bike,,,dick!

    Fuck youre a tool.
Thirty dollars makes it a "rich only " thing? of course its all profit & they have no expenses whatsoever, Bastards!!!
How much are you paying for a tinny these days?
P.S, no wonder you cant get a sponsor Mr Ranty, take a look at yourself, youd probably just call your sponsor a rich cunt anyway.

$30 is sweet for such an awesome event. Didn't go this year as had other stuff going on. Think everyone has gotten used to static prices but forgotten about the operating costs. PMCC club member told me it costs $2K to have St Johns at Taupo for the weekend. Something like Paeroa must be huge expenses with traffic management plan and road closures etc, hiring all those cones and barriers aint cheap either.
The only thing I'd ask for is the pedestrian bridge like at Wanganui, thats an epic idea.
Love how all the shops stay open, me and a mate discovered the Ohinimuri club few years back and usually have lunch and a beer in there for a break, great service.

Another thread already going here http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...17-February%29

However that has the 30 post blues, where it is going off topic as some peeps are insulting each other over the $30 entry cost.

That's Nick Prestage on the Ducati.
Nicks vastly experienced and has been going really well recently. Doesn't crash much, does alot of racing and is a very nice and humble man. Loves his racing and Ducatis. He's a builder so his injuries will make life hard for awhile.
