Having said that I've put my name down at Avon City Suzuki for there retry at their Tekapo based Adventure now due to be the 23/24 February.
It's just some easy stuff been done before but I'll enjoy it on the Transalp with road tyres for a change.[/QUOTE]
Got my name down for this too, should be ok?
Don't actually remember the whole route they had planned but think it was all open/easy stuff except the Black Forest if they are still doing that.
Black Forest was done after Omarama near the end of the DB1k, is still easy enough but just not so fast on the bigger bike and even slower if there's a passenger on the back seat.

no real need to tell you I'm still unlikely to go either then.
Was going to be too hot for that anyway.

Maybe some nice tight trail stuff up the ashley river to back of fernside, cust, summerhill, Lees valley to Okuku then Rangiora for a coffee. If any one is keen we could meet at Shell Waikuku say 9am Saturday.

and... we're home.
Good ride today, just the two of us. I've finally seen some of what the Ashley River has to offer in the way of tracks and then we did the Lees Valley ride where there was no wind, most of the gates were open and the river was very low.![]()

It was a great day for a ride Pete.....(not tryin to rub it in I promise)
She got fairly warm going though the valley, amazing how the heat sucks it out of ya.
Thanks for the company TA, I never though of carrying a branch saw in my tool arsenal but would have come in handy today. Catch you on the next one.
Cheers

Bikes a runner again...
So I feel a ride coming on this weekend...
Somewhere/Anywhere..
Any other interested partys..

90% of all Harleys built are still on the road... The other 10% made it back home...
Ducati... Makeing riders into mechaincs since 1964...
was a good & bad ride to day...
went around all the bays from Lyttlelton ending up in Akaroa
mostly seal but found a few gravel sections..
the bad bit is.. I left my camrea on a picnic table at Okains bay..
no pics....
the good bit.... Found out why the bike seems down on power & dosn't like pulling
from low revs for the last few months... the nob on the fueling adjuster "Kev mod"
had turned on the shaft , it was on near min fueling... opened it up to around 1/2 way...
Now its a diffrent motor...Amazing what a bit of fuel dose...![]()

Decided to go the long way home after work tonight via a track I have yet to try out, Worsleys Rd.
Given all the other tracks, the Bridle Path, Rapaki etc, are made for easy walking I figured that I'd be in for more of the same but was curious as have yet to actually see the track.
What a surprise I had!The bike loved it and the pretty bald tyres made it really entertaining! I think I'll have to do that again tomorrow and take the cameras
It's my new favourite track!
