Me and anther guy would be keen to tag along if possible, seems like a good chance to get out of town for a ride. Is it open to anyone?

That sounds like the gardens motel on grey. I might have to turn up there as my friend has not been answering texts

At the Toyrun on Sunday flyers for this event were handed out

    http://events.tauranga.govt.nz/all-e...t/Default.aspx

Having just had the Hot rods on display at the hotel they are pretty damn impressive and this one says "bikes" as well. Thought maybe we could do a round trip of it and head up through Paeroa through to Waihi and down to Tauranga and then the Mount for the show and back over the Kaimais??

Any interest?? - if so I will put in calendar

Many thanks to the LOR for a great ride and Toy Run on Sunday, had a blast and even two up on the ol coal burner we weren't too cramped.
Made sure that the club rooms were still serving good beer and food on Saturday evening, which they were!

    didnt make toy run

BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT I did get up to the BIKESBBQBLUES in Takapuna, hit rain at the Bombays and rained all the way to the Harbor Bridge and then was just a light drizzle at the event venue, then the sun came out just before start time and turned into a glorious day.

I chatted to the organizer and he said the numbers were down this year (possibly cos it rained near the start, and because there appeared to be a lot of other events happening) But still, it looked to be a reasonable crowd there.

There was a pretty good range of bike makes and models, and a couple that were aaahhhmmmmm different.

I roughly counted around 200 bikes on show, a 'mean ass' gorgeous chopper won the top bike.

Haven't heard how much was raised as yet.

but the event was well organized and ran like clockwork.... well done.

How much are they asking for at the door? I am interested, if I can organise the rest of my weekend around it...

    ---edit---

Gold coin donation seems to be the asking price
