If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
I had a bit to do with Ivan during the World long track champs, putting together the bike he did his demo on. He didn't come thru with all his promises but was friendly and appreciated my help.
Also met Barry Briggs snd Ronnie Moore plus Kelvin Tatum, Gird Riss, Jason Crump etc when scrutineering their bikes.
Sadly Ivan has health issues preventing any more public appearances and will not be at the Springs this weekend.
Pics are of my son on Ivans demo bike & the gold bike.

...I know Scout Fletcher...she is famous down here along with the Hoogies and Dan Ornsby and Seth Devereux, and some people from Invercargill that are fast and cool too...and Craig Shirriffs, but he's from up there, but he's still fast and cool...and a bloke from Dunedin...

I hunted down (it wasnt hard - been in the same shop for decades) and spent some considerable time with Jack Wilson who should be more famous than he was.... But to people who love old triumphs - hes a bloody legend.... I met Burt Munro once - (he was very old by then) but Jack impressed me a lot more frankly... Burt was an artist - Jack knew the science of it...
Oh - I met some politicians too but they were just politicians... And some race car drivers, they were wankers.... shagged one of their ex's - she was a hottie fallen on hard times ....Scariest man I saw (wasnt introduced but Vicki was) was head of the Mormon church... feckin heck... He looked like the emperor in star wars or the anti pope or summat - even had goons...

I saw Prince Charles naked .. (Yeah .. Lizzie's son, the inbred member of the ruling class)
He was staying at Govt House in Wgtn when I worked there (sometime back in the early 80s) ... I was coming down the path passed the swimming pool when a Secret Service man stepped out of the bushes and asked me to wait while "hiz highness" finished his swim ...
Charlie got out of the pool and went into the dressing shed, then emerged with a towel wrapped around him .. the towel fell off ... revealing nothing underneath and a very very pale pear-shaped pommie ... 'orrible it was ...
"So if you meet me, have some sympathy, have some courtesy, have some taste ..."
When I worked at the James Cook Hotel in Windytown Danny La Rue taught me to open a bottle of champagne without making it pop and foam everywhere ....
