Do they have a little machine that they plug into you Ed that measures your pain level?

Or do they just take your word for it?

Don't use it. Stronger than I need.

I hope you handed back any leftovers. It's not good stuff to be in posession of, particularly now that you've advertised the fact that you've been on it. In fact I'd rather be in posession of a few Cannabis plants illegally than a jar of Morphine Sulphate tabs with a script.

Were they the big green ones?

Ok so I was teasing... I am not in awe of you, you're too dumb. My very highly qualified Drs. and surgeon, senior nurses, in fact all who treated me are also very experienced in my operation and the extent of my injuries. They have no trouble in assessing my level of pain and disability. CT scans and X-rays, my level of movement are enough for them to believe my own assessment of how much doing whatever hurts. My surgeon even warned me that I would live with pain from then on.

+1 I had no trouble giving up the weed, free to me as it goes, but the tobacco was a whole nother story. I had three cracks at it before stopping for good.

Ed, the reality with doctors is that if you go "ouch" they'll give you a painkiller for it.

The reality is though that they don't actually know exactly how much need you have for your pain relief.

You could just as easily be simply feeding a habit.

Small white ones. Raiding my first aid cupboard would be a waste of time. I return unused meds to the Pharmacy. I only get enough Tramadol on script to last about a month and the side effects are so diverse only an idiot would try it in any significant dosage. Oh, wait...

Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.

You don't want to over do things, eh Ed. This is why I only roll race-horses these days, no more 3-papers for me - I'm getting too old for that malarkey. I see you've been helping the doctors with their pain research, very noble of you.
