    No, I was suggesting that the drug laws in NZ are an epic fail. By treating drugs as a criminal matter rather than a health issue, the people who really need help are less likely to get it for fear of prosecution, while the occasional users are also portrayed as criminals and often suffer accordingly with workplace drug tests and drug charges.     It is a criminal matter. it is illegal. No one forced them to take drugs.
    FYI if you turn up to a rehab place you aren't arrested, nor are the police called so if they want help they are the only ones hold them back.

    Now if you are caught with drugs, that is a different matter.

    It's about personal choice, people should be able to choose what they put into their own body as long as it doesn't cause significant health issues without fear of prosecution.
