    What would YOU do?

Scenario is... you've been "borrowing" your neighbours cat for approx. a year. Feeding it, de-fleaing it and it spends a good deal of its time at your house (owners house has children in it full time, not part time as in your house, cat probably sick of kids). Your neighbour moves a couple months ago, about a k away. Neighbour kept cat indoors for 3 weeks so it wouldn't run away. As soon as neighbour let's it out, it goes missing and one week later turns up at YOUR house. You really love the cat but do the right thing and call the owner. Owner picks it up and is so happy cause his little girls were sad and thought it was dead or something. P.s. you learn they've given it a stupid name, poor cat. Then, maybe 2 weeks later it turns up at your house AGAIN. It's now been there for almost 1.5 days. The owner knows where you live, of course, said if it ever went missing they'd know where it would go and they have your number but you haven't heard from them yet. Do you keep the cat? Or call the rightful owner?

I've no bike at the moment it's at the panelbeaters. Besides my kids would probably need supervision..

Ask yourself this question: "What would Gareth Morgan do?"

you really cant force a cat to live where YOU want it to.

sounds like its chosen to hang at yours and eat your food. If you dont want it, sucks to be you

No I love the kitty it's the only way I can get huggles from another living creature apart from my kids who don't count!

Why not suggest the owner gets a kitten for her kids, and you keep the cat. She can tell the kids it's homesick for where it lived and doesn't understand about house moving. Shouldn't have fed it and looked after it, cats are opportunist and will eat and sleep anywhere people keep putting out for them; a bit like a Waitara teenager

Should you need something to cuddle up to....I could send my neighbours cats...they seem to have adopted my guinea pigs. So far they've eaten 4 youngsters. Hmmmm should I feed cat poison to one of my pigs and let them out for a run?

I think they had him since he was a kitten. I'll see what happens... maybe... the little girls love the cat, they have a couple though I think and ironically, are allergic to cat's.

We aquired a cat like that, neighbours over the road would go on holiday and it'd move in with us while they were away, this happened a few times and then when they moved he turned up a few days later, after collecting him after the third time they said we could keep him if we wanted
