Based on that, with two South Island rounds we will have to have 6 North Island rounds. Rumor has it the three extras are Manfeild long track, Pukekohe and Hampton Downs in reverse.

back in the day I'd just won a race at Teretonga and set a lap record by 6 or 7 seconds ( been that long since they'd had a dry race and even sidecars competing that that's how far it had evolved) and a guy pulled up in the pits to give me a ride in his Henderson four, as he'd promised, still had my helmet on that's how quick he was there and still fizzing at the bung so jumped in and he did a lap of the pits in fucking reverse, near drew mud on that lap of the pits!! (not the Drew on KB BTW)

I was there that year,1987 If I remember correctly,First dry round for 5 years as I recall,All the Solo records went by 4-5 seconds as well Craig Barron took 4 secs off the F2 record and Stroudy won the 250 proddy race with one footpeg hanger after a crash on lap 1.Bernard shortened up his FZR1000 after getting punted off at turn 1 that year,Got some piccies somewhere I must scan and put up of Brians Fizzer and Herman and the Hippy all pitted with us there.
