I guess I could push the GSXR everywhere. That would be totally badass, and then I wouldn't be a cyclist.

The thing about "riding our usual route" is that it is easy to go through the motions, knowing pretty much what to expect at any given point along the way. While many on this site will chorus out the oft-repeated "ride like every one else on the road is trying to kill you" the reality is that any small slip up in concentration or distraction can be disastrous - your distraction or that of another road user.
Intersections, particularly busy ones, always require eyes everywhere and lightning quick reflexes. I'm sure once you are back in the saddle you will ride with that lesson branded into your memory. In the meantime, continue to heal and I hope all goes well in regard to your wheels.

Slow down around that junction and flash your high-beams on if you have to when you pass, so no cars go and turn in front of you.

Even though I had a bright green Kawi bike, the idiot never looked properly
Forgot to quote before: these two facts are so common you should never be surprised or astounded by either of them.

Wasallahmulaikum, Wassem. Wow, that sucks! Doesn't matter whose fault it is, the motorcyclist is the one who suffers more.

    Take care and heal up.

Glad you're on the mend. And have learnt from your mistakes. Make this your last crash.

I did that in the hilux, $3500 worth of damage for a pair of tits. Was well worth it.

When the light turns green, look right, look left and look right again...

Fucking red light runners should be stabbed, shot and then asked to leave the country.
