    Pretty cool!
What for? Do they have clocks?

Not like he needs to know the revs for a gear change.

One to know how fast he is silently going........oh, that might be a speedometer.....
One to see how many amps he is drawing......could be seen as a rev counters equivalent.....
One to see how many kilometers he can travel at full power drain on the battery reserve he is carrying.....like a fuel gauge I guess......

No, dont really know why he may need clocks eh....

Racebikes don't have them..... Rider rides as fast as the bike will go, it as fast as the bike will corner.

Could be handy, but throttle position is the same thing.....

Well, you know. Like Moto GP and F1 playbacks have digitally overlaid clocks so we average folk can see what insane RPM it's pulling. And how fast the crazy guy is going.

    Because I'm curious

    That is very very cool.

I would have no problem switching to electric eventually.

Would most definitely miss the v-twin rumble though.

Pretty sure there will be an ipod app that will sense throttle position, wheel speed etc and simulate the appropriate sounds for whatever engine configuration you fancy, probably even simulate gear changes with the quickshifter pop

I was thinking more of just playing it in my helmet

Of course I personally like the idea of a "stealth" motorcycle ( I'm old enough to remember Blue Thunder in whisper mode )

1 lap only at this point, but they are doing it at 109mp/h, making it about a 20 minute lap.

Apparently they do watch the dash much more than on the petrol bikes, they have a KM range showing which they are calculating off, and also an amp draw - apparently Michael Rutter was watching his and waiting to pick up the pace on the mountain and the last few miles, hence catching John so quickly over the last section of the lap.
