I think you can expect at least one DNF from each of the front runners. If Guintoli has one, it's as tight as a bulls arse in spring time straight away for the championship.

Nice to see the Gixxer performing finally BTW.

I'm here Gaz and agree that WSBK provides REAL racing. But somehow it's MotoGP, for all it's many faults that is still the magnet?

It's like with Formula 1 - best machinery and best riders. Doesn't necessarily make for the best competition. But I'll always follow MotoGP regardless. I just like bike racing. In fact I've got more than 2.5TB of racing and race related stuff on my fileserver just cos I love watching bikes so much.
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem

Does anyone know what the deal was with Melandri in race 2, did his tyre lunch itself or was it bike issues?? On a side note, the Mrs found out why Manu wasn't at Donnington and seems to look not happy. Her and Marco confirmed a press release that she was 3 months preggers and has just miscarried, stuff like that has to really screw with your head.

I thought it was a set up issue, rather than a tyre problem.

He was consistant throughout the race, just off the pace without as good an exit drive from the turns.

There was a shit load of rubber stuck to the underside of the tail though, so might have been a dud hoop that he managed really well.

I don’t have Sky — YouTube is your friend. Certainly was good viewing.

She’s not quite there yet I don’t think... Getting close though. Would that also be why there are so few GSX-R600s in WSS — engine losing out to the other marques?

MotoGP is just the crème de la crème of riders and bikes (restrictive technological rules excepted, Robert). Funny to hear that the RSV in SBK uses an Öhlins DRSVP whereas the ART in MGP uses ye ole TTX...

“The only negative section of ART, compared with the Superbike one, is in the suspension. In MotoGP we use the Ohlins TTX, in Superbike the DRSVP, that are much more expensive. How much? Twice over.” — Gigi Dall’Igna

That's tough news for the couple to handle Geeen, was wondering what the problem was they were talking about.
Melandri suffering with tyre troubles is such a turnaround to the first leg where he had confidence to burn. Him and Quintoli are who I root for.

ps and ok , I was a little premature thinking there weren't many WSB fans by the number of posts. I take it back.

Yeah Drew, Rea is a ball of talent, I wonder if he's hanging around for the new Honda SB or a Motogp Honda ?

I don't think he raised enough eyebrows when he rode the GP bike, for him to get a ride. Plus, there's already a whinging pom in the paddock causing everyone enough grief. PT.

Honda haven't released any info on a new bike that I've heard of, I think the thing only needs a new motor anyway. Clearly handles well enough currently.

Shit yeah, we each take turns squinting, to try and see what the lap counter is saying.
