This Saturday seems super for a spin. Suggestions for a something semi-swift scoot?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

I'd been keen or a bit of a shorter ride.

Not many places you can go in Canterbury this time of the year where you wont find the roads have grit on them. I was over Akarora yesterday and there's grit and slips that way, in two place's they had the main road down to one lane.

If you want a shorter ride how about Loburn back to Rangiora I'm sure Valkyrie would know of a good place to stop at for warmth, food and drink .

I often shoot up to Amberly for a short ride, few places there to pit stop, then if time and need for a little more either to Greta or Waikari.
Not sure yet if can join you Saturday, depends on other committments, competing Sunday and everything is very muddy at the mo.

Rangiora has an awesome Game Pie bakery on Kippenberger Ave but no seating, at least four pubs that have seating and refreshments.

Was over the Port Hills today. I saw some grit didn't see any shit, although there were a few stains on the road, still enjoyable ride though. A matter of riding to the conditions, careful choice of line into the corners.

I wonder if it is time for some more gravel road rides for those that need to gain some shingle skills. Just don't let Gareth loose on his little Honda. .................. He makes me feel like a newby the way he handles the gravel on that bike!!!!!!

Perhaps TA and SS could organise something Western Valley Rd or Port Levy to Pigeon Bay or both????
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

    Hey good luck for Sunday.

Not too much use of the "GT" stripes now.

That little wee honda is off the road at the moment. Unless someone wants to tune in the carbs for me

I'd have to bust out the KLR for any gravel fun at the moment.

Went round the bays and over the Summit Rd yesterday. And yes that slip looks "interesting". Most of the roads nicely swept, hardly any grit at all. A nice ride, thanks for the company VK.

And there are 10 weeks to DAYLIGHT SAVING. yehaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!
