    Just a silly thought

im heading off to do my restricted next month... ok on a learners you are ment to go 70kms...but ummmmm ive been known to forget, especially when im following the hubby. well when one heads off on her test and the signs say the speed limit is 80kms.....what does one do. Ride at the learners limit or ride as the road signs say. hope you know what I mean. I don't want to fail before I pass....and im sure im not the only newbie to wonder about this...im just silly enough to ask..cheers

Dude... there is no restricted speed limit for learners, It's the same as all other road users.

Bosslady is right. No speed restriction for riders these days. If you ride to slow in your test ie 70 in a 100 zone you will fail the test.

As the previous two said, no 70km rule. IIRC it was dropped when the LAMS changes came in.

God knows how I got my restricted, even during my test I ignored the 70kph restriction
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

I guess Whangarei is the next closest, be good at u-turns or go to Kaitaia
