    America's no great role model.
Possibly why Tasers have been introduced in the meantime.

I guess it depends whether you are holding a gun or not...

If you feel your life is in imminent peril, then you have my permission. You will also be the subject of an intense investigation and likely prosecution. Still - judged by 12 or carried by 6....

I'm fairly sure that if he had got to wherever he was going and wasted a bunch of people there, then the cops would have been roundly criticised for not stopping him by any means possible before then. As it was he got from Opotiki to the Shore...

Woah woah woah, didn't the police had chased that guy all over the place? When they went to the house, the dumb fuck carried a club toward a non clear glass window and was backlit. Cops gave him several chances to "drop it", "stop", "you're gonna fucken regret this".

Or am I thinking of a different case?

So you're talking about the other dumb fuck, who was smashing windows at a school or summat, and the cops came up on him saying "stop", "put down the weapon", "you're gonna regret this".

Guy that works for me walking through Cannons creek as a lad, armed defenders came up on him because he was approaching the pub some scumbag was in. Reckons he couldn't move or speak when the cop stuck a gun in his face. Totally paralised.

Doesn't sound like fun to me, I'd be on my belly slithering away I imagine.
