they're just a drum brake on a rod, right?: all you have to do is undo the nut a couple turns.
please read again. I attributed it to not having ridden my bike for awhile and not thinking that they would make adjustments on my bike with nothing said. Basically I thought it was in my head. I had a clear run and didnt have to use them again until I was half way home as I had a clear run. By the time I realised it was quite bad I was almost home. Poor drone nothing hes in the wrong and deserves a bollocking.

I know mmost people think they're an ornament but trust you me they're not.. always use it for very slow speed stuff.

Don't use VTNZ or the AA in future. They are all indian/asian/old white cunts that couldn't make it as mechanics.
    Are they ever!!

I'm interested in how you would define a GN250 then?

Of course its entirely possible that they form their own distinct sub branch of motorcycle genus... In fact I would go so far as to consider it highly likely

As long as the brake wasn't dragging then he's done you a favour. 99% of people out there would have jumped back on and gone "wow thats feels way better", then thanked them. Sounds like you may be the exception.

But I do reckon that they should've told you, but don't let this oversight overshadow their good intent.

He absolutely has not done me a favour. No bike mechanic would in their right mind adjust the brake that much no way, no how. If someone thanked someone for that shit they need a slap in the face. It's not an oversight, it's fucking with someone's bike with no right to do so. If I felt it needed adjusting I'd have done it myself, I'm not incompetent. I had a lesson with an instructor only weeks ago where we specifically targeted my braking and there were no problems with either brakes then and there was no reason for him to adjust my brakes that much, Or at all. He can get fucked if he thought gratitude was forthcoming.

Hmm - I always had a soft spot for GN's and rated them way above 'other'..... But frankly my taste in nearly all things other than 'wife' (and thats a choice I only ever intend to make the once) is utterly appalling....

Maybe he should be thanked instead for making you aware of your anger managent issues then.

this is what you get thanks to the ACC system

In a country like the USA or here in Singapore you could sue the bastards if you had a crash or even were inconvenienced such as wheel lock up,which means the accountabililty of the worker is higher and taken more seriously

In good old enzed the ACC pay you out so no worries mate

Hopefully the dept of labour or whoever they are these days would prosecute the prick but dont bank on it

These clowns mess with peoples lives and I would be taking it very seriously, remember the road to hell is paved with good intent

The least mr numbskull- probably- not- qualified- anyway could have done is told you he had adjusted it,but remember WOF inspectors are not necessarily trained technicians let alone overly smart with good communication skills.

Acknowledging a problem is ALMOST as good as doing something about it.
