Yeah, I think so too. I have a liking for stationary engines and see some cool old steam tractors, but not many trucks.
That one I posted was from here.....http://www.flickr.com/photos/branxho...ream/lightbox/

    Some good stuff there.

This Inter is from the same album and is a good mate of mines and I helped with the restoration of it a few years ago.

That Lyttelton Borough Council steamer is just so pretty... she's a very elegant lady...

And thanks Unstuck for pointing out the other photos from the same stable.

So you're a wee Yorkshire lad... must admit that York and the Dales is a favourite part of England, though some of them talk funny up there!

I spent my early years wandering the Dales. I found an old honda step through scooter on the moors when I was seven, and rode it until it was out of petrol. Found out later that it had been stolen and dumped, and the police said I could keep it, so I suppose that was technically my first bike. Although I like to think the husky dirt bike as being my first.

P.S. My dad rode his bicycle to york from Thornton when he was 5, in bare feet. I have heard that story so many times.

It was a long time ago, but I think it was called the Snake Pass (A56) between Manchester and Sheffield. Some very nice bends on good quality tarmac

All I remember about the trip between Manchester and Sheffield was a motorway through the pennines and how boring it was, left there when I was 11 mind you.

Sorry we are so off topic Indy, Just trying to keep your thread to the top so it,s easier to find.

    Here,s a little peace offering.

So you are buying it then?

Cue excuses. My back couldn't handle it, I haven't sold enough batteries this month, the missus wants the cash for a manicure, I would but older cars react with my medication, Yahweh prefers we drive modern vehicles for our own safety.

    Whatever, fucker.
