ok, so i want to pimp my sweet ride with some sick sounds.

Being a jaycar whore (and knowing 2 people using their gear) thats the way im leaning. But 260 for a head deck (that wont even play my meatloaf tapes!) seems steep.
I think i pickd up the sony in my last wagon for 120-180, it plays cd, has front aux, sw, mw, am, fm tuner and 4x40w.
What i think i want is: usb, bluetooth hands free. Still with sw and mw tuning (radio/rf is kinda my thing...)
for all i ever use cd, i probably still want it.
Also, if i can get away without amps, id be happy (4x90w, ish?)

so.... What is recommend.

Bro, just buy my car. It has tape, CD stacker and AUX, factory amp with 8 real speakers (not your cheap JayCar trash) and a radio that does lots of shit (fucked if I know, it goes doof doof though) All factory fitted for decrease faggot factor. And I'll give you chips.

Anything more than 4x50 on a single-din deck is a lie.

my advice... 2nd hand headunit (reasonably new) and spend the rest on decent front speakers.

why would anyone sell a unit that worked good?
I can fit a doubl, would hav to move the cup holders tho. Or do something hoary with the cb...

Yeah we got a deal mate! Mine haz 4x100 amp in teh dash. Those moar expensiver JayCunt speakers are pretty decent. I'd be more inclined to go Infiniti though, but I'm a slut for shit like that

If you wanna crank you'll need an amp.
4-way if you want to fit a sub for some low end fill later down the line. 2-way otherwise.

Generally OK second hand: amp, headunit, cabling
NOT ok second hand unless you're sure they're OK: speakers and sub

You might be able to fit a 4x100 amp in the dash, depends on the car, most jappas you'll just about have to take the dash out to do it. Under seat usually easier, or in the boot.

What I recommend is........Next time some pant hanging round his knees boy racer rocks up to the caravan in his legacy or evo wanting a tinny on dole day, tell him you will have to go dig up your stash. Then pop out and rip his sounds off. Free shit is good shit.
