Don't know, don't have anywhere near enough of the relevant facts. Probably never will.
The one thing we do need to manage better is market expectations, there's just no way anyone can meet the standards the general market assumes are currently applicable.

Most certainly the chinese can't be trusted.

There is something else behind the "instant slagging" of NZ by the chinese leadership. Perhaps another way to get our politicians worried and willing to sell more land/assets to them?

An interesting discussion recently. The Auckland property market: Claims of foreign buyers NOT being responsible for the average kiwi or young family being unable to get onto the property ladder. Bullshit!

Chinese buyers at auction are upping the bidding price and edging out local/resident buyers who need a house (that is what an auction does, however). They are also paying around 1% interest from a chinese bank.
Entire sub-divisions being bought (not just one house) without competitive openness for that type of sale. More often being done behind closed doors...

I know of a house sitting empty. Purchased for 1.8million.
The overseas owner now has a mailing address for his children if they require it (school/Uni, perhaps?)

The sooner that we have a ban on foreign ownership and non-resident purchasing the better. Try buying land or a house in many overseas countries! Perhaps Maori will be the saviour of the country, so long as they do not succum to the bribery and corruption of the chinese and their "thousand grains of sand" approach.

No need to - called process control.
I used try put the barriers at at the top not the ambulance at the bottom.

Yeah used to work in that scene doing bits and bobs. Fonterra was a good client. Fucking red-zones though. Probably why I am so pissed about the whole bot scare. Here I was getting changed and unchanged through various outfits to get in and out (if your forget something in the car you will be screaming all day) and yet they f-up the line flush process.......

FYI the reason why Keri Juice is always on special is because the Julian date code f's up all the time shifting the date to soon for bbefore. Also their labels are always wonky due to a certain forklift driver parking into the labeller. It never was the same after that.

I got sick of the smell of ammonia that is for sure. Ammonia and milk as a smell is a sure fire way to make me hurl.

Don't miss being on call either.

So yeah to answer you question - no need to pick up parts per billion if you have lockouts that force you to do steps 1-5, not 1, 3, 5, 2. Though in saying that detecting parts per million isn't hard. Can do that with most bio stuff within 48 hours.

Actually they are great. When they are followed.

Prob is that they are so anal retentive (policies that is) that people get relaxed and fudge the system.
While I don't know the politics of this, if they failed to flush a line.....lets just say someone will get a bollocking about how they bypassed the interlock.

Yeah, I work for them sometimes too. The point stands, though, in this case it sounds like a short circuited CIP but no matter how tight your systems are you don't get 100%, ever.

That's not the problem. The problem is the general public have been led to expect 100% safe product, and it doesn't exist.

Product safety has done nothing but improve over the last few decades, based not on improved QA systems compliance but on analysing holes in it and anticipating failures. But you don't hear that reported because it's boring.

So instead of "Nice work people" we get "Slack bastards are poisoning us!" Apply perspective here. Repeat as required.

that means the system is broken , doesn’t work

As an engineer , anytime someone starts circumventing the procedure , the procedure is wrong

You see this every day in badly run companies , usually top town management

an example ; Honda rappongi , design hq , the main door is fingerprint controlled , but the side door is always left open and is the door most often used ......

Yeah sorry that came out wrong.
Spent far too long working with slack bastards.

As for milk being a dangerous product. Meh.......try dealing with water. People think that shit is full of dangerous chemicals......yet have no idea why they are there or what the doses are.

Or sewage.......it amazes me the numbers of people who want to complain about sewage.....then complain about their rates........but don't join the dots that without rates money we can't treat their shit.

They can prove that the GCSB bill is useful for collecting information on the child bashers and they can then get back to creating a transient prison population and country full of criminals.

No, quite the opposite......they should be doing more about the stuff they should instead of consistantly coming up with red herring issues which are designed to take the media pressure off themseves & which they have no serious intent to pass & are often so hairbrained that they know that it would never pass in its presented form. Cunning & patronising.......

I think you give "them" too much credit, and that idiot Bradbury must be easily distracted.

The Child Abuse thing is a white paper - it's designed to engender comments.

I'm not sure how that flag comment came about, but I assume it was the result of a question? I can't find a specific press release.
The fish comment referred to a topic which is hot news and has been for a while. As an answer to Trohpy Head's earnest questioning it was funny (you remember humour, don't you?).

You'll be saying that the Govt. timed the dirty whey powder story to divert attention next...although I do believe that Frontera timed that one so it came after their good news about increased returns to farmers.

I'm not sure they timed the child abuse issue to take the heat of the GCSB bill - but I'm sure they timed the snapper issue to do so ..

When Campbell live asked DonKey last night about the GCSB Bill Key said people weren't that interested - ask them about snapper and they will be interested ..

    How wrong he is ..

Nah I wont be saying that but I could therorize that all the bad press is a Karma thing.

And since we're looking thru the same prism as the Evil Empire, maybe we're getting kicked around a bit on the Geo-political football field as a consequence?
