Probably the opposite - if they'd introduced that, they may have turned a nice profit! Or even just re-named their burgers to a guinea theme... La Grande Roedor (The Big Rodent) anyone?

I agree but since they named it after themselves, it would be even better if they paid for it instead of expecting their customers and suppliers to.

Neither group is forced to do business with them. Short of a donation box handy to the POS, I've never found an expectation to contribute as a customer. Can't remember the last shop I went into that didn't have a donation box of some kind handy to the till.

It could very well be a PR exercise, but still I don't see too many other major businesses doing anything as large. Knowing a number of parents that live in provincial towns that have seriously sick kids, I'm yet to meet one that isn't impressed/grateful for what they do.

Oh yes that place has become invaluable to my partner, after many hours surgery spent on her son!

And as far as the McDs in Bolivia, if you read the comments under the article you will notice that MD pulled out due to financial reasons (or so it seems), they could not compete with the local fast food!

McD's is a shitty outfit, selling crappy products, but no need to spread lies about them.

Ron McD house is a great thing they do IMO.

So Scissors specifies a bun on a plate. An experiment with a patty is put forwards as a counter argument. Morons leap aboard the OP was a dickhead bus and claim flawed science?

NOW I'm also hankering for a double sausage mcmuffin or 3.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Somebody post up an experiment with a bun. Not an anecdote, or story, but an actual experiment, and I'll reconsider my opinion.

    That's how science works.

    Hmmm nearly lunch time.

Hey, an ill-fitting counterargument is better than no evidence for the original argument...

Why is it that high calorie foods made from cute fluffy animals taste the best? If there is a "grand designer" he΄s got a sense of humour.

Not really, but the urban legend that does the rounds is usually about the pattie, so I figured the OP had that wrong as well.
