I feel like a retard on this bike I can't go around corners and I'm never entirely sure what gear I'm in and if it's the right one (trying to use my ears but the bike is so damn loud it can be hard to tell). I'm being very careful with the throttle cause it's been raining or wet since I picked it up and I'm too scared if I give it heaps of gas (which I could get away with with the gn) that I'll end up doing something unintentional and ouchy... This should be an interesting experience!!
Just take it easy and let yourself get used to it (I was only just starting to used to the Scorpio I've been riding for the past 4 days when I gave it back yesterday).

The more you ride it the better you'll get at riding it, take it for a few gentle spins (not literally of course!), weather's looking good today. Oh yeah, did I mention take it easy?
Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.

I have to ride down to Taupo tonight so hopefully that will help.

Perhaps a visit to your local AA man is required to 'sort' them out

I wish you'd get over that, twice in the same thread, bit weird...

Just remember that the bike is lighter in the rear, more front less rear brake and dont grab at the front lever as one finger would almost do... looks like a dry run down tonight and the nasty front that was forecast has slowed up a little so Saturday should be OK....Might be wet Sunday for the trip home unless the forecast is wrong....again, ATM I am liking the forecast compared to what it was as I will be just over the hill in Taumarunui this weekend if all goes to plan weather wise.... might even take the XR and DRZ for a play after the culling work is done

Kids are off school tomorrow so its tempting to go early as well, Rose will join me

If you have issues with the bike at the track (I am sure you will be fine) I will have the bike trailer with me if I take the other bikes

Yup I've been "two-fingering" the front brakes. Don't need to use all four fingers and squeeze hard as like I did with the gn, so I'm still very much getting used to the brakes, hard to know yet since I haven't really ridden it how much is too much... I'm riding back tomorrow night after the track day so hopefully the weather is fine.

yup should be fine then....you might see us heading the other way loaded up, well probably not as I will be going through SH4 etc by the time you leave...I hope, I'm not back until Sunday....If all goes to plan.

You might have to join us down at the beach for some skid practice in the sand on my bikes (keep your one out of it) might even get you to pop a wheel stand :P

Twice you say, lets make it thrice ( even more weird )

My 1st post was going to say...

Rear brake lever in pic 6 looks well adjusted ( unlike it's owner ) ...

but I held back a bit.
