Its been 4 weeks since my last confession.
In this time I have purchased a new exhaust for my Katana.. after getting a large ultrasonic cleaner for the carbs to rebuild them, re jetting etc. I like the kat and cant wait to do a 1230 kit in to it. Unfortunately that exhaust cost me ALL my bike money until next year. So anything spent from here to next year needs to be small domination, sound like food and cant be located within 1km of a whore shop, whops I mean workshop....,
Oh and purchased a new bike..... cant post pictures as you lot will be toooo bored. But I know it will be great.

BUT wait .... I have started work on the RG again, I know its been a month.
Bit like the wife, the month thing.
There is a story about getting to this point.... (I like full stops... get used to them...) ( and F to full stop haters!) ... not much of a story really... Who has a sex life like that?
Started stripping the front end. I like it when I am surprised by a bike. Stripping the front end / top fairing is something I have not done before on this bike and I enjoyed it. Hell Stripping things is cool...:bleh:
For example the regulator is mounted next to the horn... WTF. A search for what seemed hours... enginnerring shops for nipples, packaing companies for boxes and the regulator was mounted there for weight distribution front to rear wheel ratio that was sooo important in formula one. But hey cant believe everything you read.

Found this, broken top fairing bracket and I either need to get another one or fix this one.
Fact is if you take the second option, buy a new one then you might as well have a go at fixing it cause the end result is the same as buying a new one.
Unless you have learned some thing and you fix it... well if that happens you are entitled to walk around your house in the morning telling your wife..." I want some eggs"..! NOW BITCH!

IF you were going to fix it, hell I like eggs.
Then you had better clean it first.
Obviously everyone has a bead blaster in their shed... don't they? other wise you would let your wife park her car in the man shed..! you dont do you... do you?

That gold shit on that bracket is it glue.. NO its brazing and that is only done by hand. No robot building this bike.
OK my options are try and braze it, weld it , glue it or leave it like it was....
Hell it must have been like that the whole time I owned it, 10yrs ... F me
I am going to try and weld it back together.

Ask your misses... it all about the way you hold it, squeeze it, push it, and it ant always easy after a good oil change where the box ant good to ride because its dry as hell and collecting dust.
A great time to spend time in your shed... women's car obviously outside.
did I mention its about how you hold it................................................ .................................................. .................................................. ........F

Axially dude the engineers at Suzuki took the RG very seriously, and it was decided that anywhere behind the radiator/exhaust/engine on the Gamma was a little hot and crowded like a nightclub toilet.
So they put the regrec out in the nice cool air out front instead of all back of the bus and shit
Ever heard of a gamma four cooking its regrec?
Exactly
Oh yeah and if I had a dollar for every one of those fairing/instrument mount brackets I have replaced on my RG........

Looking at the wheels on your bike. They look the same as the wheels on a CBR600 Hurricane....Except an inch the wrong size at both ends.
Did you buy some 17" wheels yet, could be another option and few people would notice.
The rears are already 17
A nice conversion is GSX400X wheels, the rear is slightly wider at 3inches and the front is a 17
Go much wider on the rear and there are exhaust clearance issues

The CBR rear is 3.5"X17". It looks really similar to the standard one, so I figured it might be an option to look into.
Only problem with the front, is the stupid placement of brake disk mounts. The diameter of the bolt holes from the center is huge, there wouldn't be an easy way of putting on decent disks and calipers to match I imagine.
