    Smile Help a PhD student - Win 1 of 6 $100 vouchers

Hi Guys, I really need your help to finish my PhD.

Win one of 6 $100 Vouchers*
*Vouchers are either Westfield or Warehouse vouchers and can be chosen by winners.

    Do you …

… live in NZ and are at least 18 years of age?
… have 5-10 minutes to spare?
… want to help a PhD student complete their PhD?

Please help me complete the final online survey for the completion of a PhD in Marketing at the University of Canterbury. This study looks at consumer responses to advertisements and your participation would be much appreciated.

It is simple, painless and completely anonymous!

Please click on the link for more information and to complete my survey.

The project has been reviewed and approved by the University of Canterbury Human Ethics Committee.

    Thanks so much!

How do I respond to ads? With Adblock Plus. It had to be said.

Evocative questioning, not the best way to survey:
I get bored with buying the same brands even if they are good.

Ok who set up the questions? Supermarkets mean nothing to me? You would have to grow your own food to do that.
Or are you referring to Supermarket Brand? Please don't tell me you have a Masters in Brand management.

Ok completely anonymous survey - how do you know who I am in case I win a voucher? Can you send it to my i.p. address?

Is reading not your strongest suit or summat?

It's quite clear after reading the final instructions that entering your email address puts you in a completely random draw for the goodies, and isn't linked to your survey results.

Edit. The survey is also explained at the end, because it might sway results if it were done at the start.

Something you aren't really helping with.

This is for a PhD? Seriously? I would have expected a more robust survey than this from a PhD student.

Thanks for helping out guys it is not easy to construct a good survey that is user friendly and statistically valid and relevant.

My study is in consumer behaviour, so quite psychology focused

Hitch. You can get a BA from a Cornflakes' packet, so a PhD requires Weetbix AND Nutra-Grain vouchers to complete the set.

Indeed. Leading questions based on preconceived perceptions should only ever be used by left-leaning political parties.
