I have a small problem. And NO its not that my knob is small.
I had to buy it... the RG build while its on the bench may slow down more.

As I said I could not help my man urges... wife said NO so I purchased it.

New rings.. and only 33,000km so its mint... yes yes the side covers are missing... soon to arrive. I HOPE.

    But cant stay mint.

    With way will I go.?

BUT I must concentrate on the RG...

Dam like the new GSX, add some GSXR running gear and a 1166 kit, cams and RS36 cartbs and under 10sec quarter mile ...ok a few more bits but you get the idea.

I like the black version but resale is not as good as standard colours... hmmm paint it black and steal a gang patch.?
DID I mention the GSX1100EZ has the largest head light ever made! Known as the train light... I like trains too... ok I lie.

My guess is I have enough standard looking shit... black looks good. One of my best roots was in this direction... should of made that women a cup of tea.

mean while the EZ is parked up and work is happening to the RG..

Fuck I think you need to write a relationship guidance book. Wouldn't be long, might not save any relationships (might stop a few starting).

Dont do black. DONT do fucking chrome. Love the red bike, that is fucking sex.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Mean while ... I am working on the RG.
Been working on the front, there was always some rust and bent shit down there and I was always nervous about looking there.

So pull it apart I did, first up a (now if I was talking about your misses... what would you be thinking?) broken bit of plastic with a metal thread on it just falls out. I know it ant good but what will I find?

You know it will be looking quite different.

YES I have already found replacement plastic light surround as mine WHICH was rooted. I have new rubber bead to glue on and after bead blasting and powder coating it will be like new.

Not a part I am enjoying.

Easy to just follow stuff which is just what I wanted to do. The least thinking the better.
Trying to measure spacers for the new rim ... not easy.

Centre the rim and the work out where the sprocket needs to be and the rear caliper. They all have to line up.

This is the worst part. I get to here and you have brought the wrong front end and cant sell it...a right little stuff up.
And not my first... there are many.

Notice the big fucking gap... first thing I noticed on my wife !!!!

and now I need a gap.

Does the standard RG sprocket carrier not fit the new wheel?

You can have the face of the new one machined a bit to give you a little tolerance, anything more than a mm or two though and the seal won't go in proper....which means seating the bearing further in and moocho fucking around. Where the sprocket bolts on to it can be taken back quite a bit.

Centering the wheel is most important, then pack the sprocket out from the carrier if it needs to come further out.

Have to do that shit all the time when messing around with buckets. Every time you repower the horrible little pieces of shit, the process starts again.

To add. From what I have found out sooo far.

I need to machine 11mm of the sprocket carrier face.
Before I start machining I need the following.

Front and rear sprockets 520 conversion and am thinking 16 front and 42 rear. To add I have the Ellis gearbox upgrade with a taller first gear so need to make sure this combo will work.
I need a rear brake caliper, disk and carrier. All 1998 on I assume to get the rear rim in the right place.

Once I have the rear carrier, 520 chain setup and machine 11mm of the sprocket carrier I can start trying to work out the spacers I will need. Anyone happen to have these handy?

    All advise greatly accepted.

520 chain is the same pitch as 525. So if you started with that then there will be plenty of advice on what gearing other people run when they go 17inch rear hoop.

Gearbox mod, if only different in first gear shouldn't alter final drive gearing. RGV 250sp had a taller first gear, but similar final drive if I recall correctly.

11mm is a lot. Are you still gonna get a 160 hoop on there without it rubbing?

11mm is big if we are talking about a clitoris and fuck all if that what you see taking a piss.

But it is looking about right. The old rear tyre was a 150 so I should be able to insert a 160 ok.

Need funds... when you coming around again I need some cash. Need rear caliper and 520 sprockets and chain to make spacers. Oh well back to the EZ while I save some funds.
Christmas is coming soon, always a good time for a cash injection. The kids always get a few dollars sent to them in Christmas cards from the family... and they think no one remembers them haaa.
