Plenty on here have been walking after getting pinged I would say. Im a bit behind as my last ticket was in a customers car I had just done a clutch in. Its speedo was disconnected, owner wanted to keep the Ks low.

    None on the bike.

I did pull over when I realised they weren't pulling in behind the other car. Besides I was at the front obscuring the other car slightly so I had no doubt it was me they wanted. .

Me included, though never been pinged at the 'y'all walking home' speed (more good luck than good management on those occasions) as yet. Last ticket written up was disputed and deemed not payable soon after.

I'm all for it, on the open road though. In 50k zones I reckon it's just fucken dumb.

40Kph over the limit is an automatic 30 day suspension, and you get to talk to a judge.

I think it should be lower in 50k zones though. Not just to be an arsehole, but 20k over should be the walking home speed I think.

Edit. Shouldn't this be common knowledge? Do you not need to know the law before being allowed on the roads?

Fuck me, I really am starting to undertand the attitude of the "arsehole" cops out there. The ones who just seem to be cunts for it's own sake, might in fact just be the ones who've had enough of the morons on our roads.

Personally I think the speed tolerance should be higher in industrial areas, which this was.

28 days not 30. Those 2 days don't seem so insignificant when it's you who is walking either, before you call nitpicking. I think the court appearance comes in once you're over 40k above or maybe at 50. I say this because I've had personal experience of an instant 28-day suspension but without a court appearance - I was doing 110 in a 70 zone smack in the middle of a reasonably long open road stretch. It was this year too so recent enough.

Why? Are factory workers not allowed to walk accross the street and feel safe in doing so?

Someone said there was a park close by, is it not there for kids and people to play?

If it was speed limited to 70, it wasn't open road.
