And I am terribly sorry, but homosexuality is still regarded as an activity fraught with potential security risks, so there are no homosexuals working for us (but, of course, I would deny that publically.)

We have been aware of the person who uses the persona Banditbandit for many years. We did not need to come to this forum to see what he was saying. He has not taken attention off other members of this forum. But we are concerned that he is contacting "like-minded people" as it were, through this forum.

If he attempts to contact you individually we would like to know.

Always knew you guys were slow. Any decent agency would know BEFORE the target of the approach.
    Do you need some help?

Biggest problem is the gang mentality, they won't go after their own. In-fact they are punished for even trying; So why I judge the individual on their actions I do count them as a collective & the collective gets tarred with the same brush tho the individual maybe spared

I risk shitloads for my communities.

The police are some of the best paid 'public servants' (/tui), right after politicians, and with a similar level of accountability.
Afaik, They start on nearly twice the 'average kiwi wage'.
    Methinks you troll.

And banditbandit? His names dave, hes from hamilton and he tried to subvert my impeccable national voting personality. Twice.

    With hookers and blow.

But i was all liek, 'no, being a blue blood, i like to bum fuck little jew boys with my rich jew buddies, you cant corrupt me with a mere hooker, i kill hookers for lunch, while cruising in my bmw and laughing at poor brown people.'

WHAT!...you mean the movies lied to me!

I hear you about the "look after there own" mate...but to view it from another angle...

I have friends and family in the force, all of which are great people, and your all right...they DO look after there own(Just as we KBers do!)...case in point

My Uncle "used" to be in the force, he gave decades!! of service to his community....but all that ended when he volunteered his free time to help with a festival on the west coast (he wasn't even a uniform cop at the time(CIB o sommin), he just offered to help out to ensure the festival could go ahead)
...he walked into a bar and was immediately set upon from behind! by a drunk patron armed with a steel bar stool, he had his skull crushed, and was left in a coma and fighting for his life for weeks!....all "because he was a PIG!"

So my family got to witness first hand how the police "look after there own"...they took care of everything for us, visits everyday and continued support when Uncle Al he got back on his feet...it was amazing to see how much of a family they truly were.

My uncle was never able to returned to service after that attack, but he went on to look after Dunedin street kids and youth (youth aid officer)...because he still wanted to serve his community.(Thats the type of bloke he is...and the type that make up a good chunk of the force)

hence, I do tend to get a tad...defensive, when people make judgment calls on the whole force!...they are mostly good people, and will give there lives to protect the community and there work mates...the very LEAST we can do...is support them! (they don't make the rules after all)

But I truly DO understand where your coming from...It does seem that they won't actively go for there own...but like any employer, its a fine line between disciplinary action & dismissal, and a wrongful dismissal Law suit!

...but as I said, they don't like working with dickheads just as much as you an me mate , but they do "sort them out" in due time.

And on a good note...Looks like Gus is gonna be fine

Yeah Gus is a hero and glad he will be OK. A pity it is so hard to get more of his caliber and get them trained up to the required standard.

The issue isn't with the individuals but the collective mentality and the protectionism that the bad apples get from that collective mentality the and groups around them that are meant to be the checks and balance but instead enable the shit-heads thereby endangering the good guys.

Uncle and Nephew in the force so not totally anti, but I do take issue with authority without proper functioning checks.
Understand what you are saying about the incident that happened to your uncle and hope the coast sorted the drunk as they would have in the past.

Which brings up another point, the police can't do their job without the support of the people, trouble is they think they work for the government forgetting sometimes that is government for the people = they work for the people. Things would often go a lot easier for them if they talked to the people as equals, all be it on guard, the case in question would not have occurred if the dick-head in the blue overalls had just talked to the guy and showed his Id, same as he expected from the guy he bet up.

    "Pay

Pay for police officers varies depending on their skills and experience.

During training, police officer recruits earn about $35,400 a year (total package $39,300, which includes benefits such as compulsory superannuation).
New graduates start on about $51,800 (total package $58,000, which includes benefits such as superannuation and payment for passing their Physical Competency Test).
With two years' service and on completion of their probationary period, police officers earn about $70,700 (includes benefits such as superannuation and life insurance).
After five years, this increases to about $76,000 (includes benefits such as superannuation and life insurance).

Pay also depends on a police officer's progression through the ranks.

I only make 55k a year to sit at desk, drink free coffee, play with friggin cool tech, and look after the nations IT infrastructure (Im a tech admin...who ironically looks after the popos IT "stuff" lol, and many many other customers)...but I don't get shot at, stabbed, spat at, beaten, abused, forced to work most holidays and treated like shit!!...just for doing my job (unless I break the trans-tasman link lol...again!)

They EARN there money!, and no, its NOT enough..for the ultimate price that they may have to pay while serving there community
    http://www.3news.co.nz/Police-office...2/Default.aspx

Your a bloody smart guy Akzle (Can't fool me hippy!)...you know they have a prick of a job to do, and you know they would even throw themselves off a bridge to save your arse!!
    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/ar...ectid=10911804

And lets not even go into the heartbreaking stuff they see & deal with on a disturbingly regular basis , such as road crashes, beaten children and such...there's simply no amount of "money" that will help officers deal with that stuff...and you know it!

I would like to see a completely independent department setup with all the powers of the police & courts exclusively for the investigation & prosecution of police, judges, lawyers & politicians answering only to "the people", but we all know thats never going to happen as then they'd all be accountable for their actions. But at the least it'd be nice if the cops not only went after their own but weren't punished for doing so.
Only a little over half the cops feel they could make a complaint against another gang member without fear of reprisal & it's no surprise with headliners like this -
The detective who blew the whistle on his alleged drug-dealing boss was removed from his squad and investigated before senior police took his concerns seriously.

These are the things taking police trust to all time lows, people are fed up with it & as you make mention to the police themselves are fed up with it; even if they want to do good they're constrained by the corruption that stems from the higher ranking in their gang.

Agreed it doesn't specifically say headlights however as it doesn't talk about any type of light that would be the implication. You accused me of trying to defend the guy. I quoted myself from a previous post to show that I have no intention of that. Happy now?
