    Honda Hornet 250 Streetfighter, swaps?

I've had this Hornet for a year now, since 19000kms. In that time I have done a few mods on it, and it has had two services by Motorcycle Doctors, at 20,000 and 25,000kms. Oil and filter changed every 3000-4000kms. Tyres are still all good, 70% rear, 80% front.
WOF has 4 months to go, never failed with mods, Reg is new for 3 months.

    Mods include:
    Yoshimura RSS Slip on $300~
    Belly Pan $350
    Renthal Super low bars $150
    Bar end mirror $50
    Integrated tail light/indicators/LED flasher $120
    LED front indicators $80

I have dropped the bike once on either side, once at very low speed, once at a stand still. No major damage and no rust occurring from it. Minor scrapes and dings have been repaired.

Swaps will be considered but must be LAMS approved.
No test rides unless proof of license and funds.

    Cheers!

Obviously theres some wiggle room. Im mainly looking at a straight swap, just seeing the interest in it.

Yeh no offense bud but how does $3k bike (tops) plus $1k mods equal $5k asking?

Don't get me wrong, cool lookin bike and I like what you've done with it... but I reckon you should be chuffed if you get 4k

It is a shame they didn't bring the 599 here. Neat little bike.

    Nice Hornet 250.

A tip - other than a pipe, mods to bikes should be added for the owners pleasure only as you will never regain their value on resale and should not expect to.

I have always tinkered with and modified by bikes - I keep a box (or boxes) of standard parts that I have removed so they may be put back on if I ever sell the bike. The 'goodies' are then sold on Trademe. You get a quicker sale of the bike and you will get a better price for your bling on TM.

The theory with returning it to stockish is that the next buyer thinks it has been well looked after and not molested. I'd pose from personal experience that often times the more modified ones have had more care lavished on them cosmetically and mechanically than stock standard ones ......
